World famous Russian film director Nikita Mihalkov was awarded the Degree of Doctor Honoris Causa by the National Academy for Theater and Film Art in Sofia.
"Today's technology can do everything but it cannot replace the human soul and no special effects can replace the human heart," Mihalkov said at the awarding ceremony.
Mihalkov harshly criticized today's films and opposed to them Dostoevski's art. "For him, man is not means but an aim," he said.
