30-Year-Old Man Survives Lightning Strike in Sofia
A 30-year-old man was struck by lightning in the "Mladost 1" district of the capital
Thanks to the rapid reaction of the authorities in Razlog, nearly 200 children were successfully taken off the Kulinoto ski area despite the heavy snowfall.
"There are not any kids blocked on the track, almost all of them are taken regularly and normally. We really had difficulty in transport because of the necessary technological time to clean up the road to Predel, "said Razlog Mayor Krasimir Gerchev, quoted by Focus.
He added that at the moment on the track there were only ski instructors who would also be taken.
Earlier, nearly 200 children were blocked in a hut in the area of the Kulinoto ski slope near Razlog. The signal was sent to 112 shortly before 15:00.
Kulinoto ski slope is located on the highest part of the Predel Pass, 3 km south of it.
Meanwhile, in the Smolyan region, there was a nightmare for hundreds of tourists heading for the mountain without chains on their tires. At dawn on Friday, the passage through Pamporovo was blocked by broken cars and some of the drivers did not even know how to put the chains. Snowplow trucks were also stuck on the road. Excessive snowfalls make it harder to work on snow cleaning, NOVA reports.
For the second day in a row the land troops use heavy machinery. The Rotary Snowplow cleared the one-meter snow blocking the main road.
