Migrant pressure in Bulgaria has reached a critical point, reported BGNES, citing sources at the state Agency for Refugees.
The information is confirmed by the regular report of the Interior Ministry, according to which, by September 22, refugee centres were full at 98%.
As of Tuesday, the remaining 102 places were occupied, reaching 5,190 people – the capacity for placement set by the State Agency for Refugees.
The Interior Ministry reported a certain decline in migrant pressure in the period September 15-22. A total of 485 were detained in this period, compared to 643 people in the week before.
The total number of migrants residing on Bulgarian territory is 14,132.
