A man attacked and killed a woman with a machete in Reutlingen, in southwestern Germany, Bild newspaper reported on
Sunday.
At least two other people were injured.
Police said a man, identified as a 21-year-old asylum-seeker from Syria, had been arrested at the scene, according to German media reports.
The motive for the attack is yet unknown.
The incident comes just two days after a German-Iranian lone gunman shot dead nine people and injured 16 in Munich before killing himself.
