Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev has told Switzerland's Parliament head Christa Markwalder that his country would like to draw new Swiss investment.

One of Bulgaria's priorities is to boost trade exchange with Switzerland, the press office of Plevneliev quotes him as saying at the meeting.

Markwalder is on a three-day visit to Bulgaria, where after her meetings with state officials she is heading to Plovdiv to examine the implementation of two projects under the assistance framework agreed between the two countries.

Earlier, meeting Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, the latter said there were "more opportunities" to explore in economic relations, despite Switzerland already being the third-largest investor into the country.
