Bulgaria Hosts SEECP Parliamentary Assembly Plenary Session

Bulgaria is hosting the third plenary session of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) Parliamentary Assembly on Saturday.
The session, which is taking place at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) in Sofia, was unveiled by Bulgarian Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva, who is the incumbent chair the SEECP Parliamentary Assembly.
It is attended by parliamentarians from twelve countries, including the speakers of parliament of Slovenia, Macedonia and Kosovo, respectively Milan Brglez, Trajko Veljanovski and Kadri Veseli.
The topic of the forum is “20 years SEECP: the region – new realities and shared perspectives”.
According to Tsacheva, the discussion will provide opportunity to analyse the achievements and outline the challenges and unresolved issues which will dominate the agenda in the next years.
Bulgarian Deputy Foreign Minister Valentin Poryazov stated that Bulgaria has always provided support and directions to the countries seeking European integration.
Poryazov highlighted that European integration of the neighbouring countries has no alternative and he expressed readiness to share the Bulgarian experience in the pre-accession process.
The plenary session is one of the final events of the Bulgarian chairmanship of SEECP, which finishes at the end of the month.
