The index of production in Bulgaria’s construction sector in April 2016 declined by 10.4% year-on-year, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) has said.
The decrease of production in the construction sector, derived from data adjusted for the number of working days, reflected a drop of 12.1% in the construction of buildings and a decrease of 8.4% in the construction of civil engineering projects, the NSI said in a monthly survey of construction activity published on Tuesday.
The survey comprises construction companies, whose combined output exceeds 75% of the total production in the construction sector over the respective period. Data for April 2016 are preliminary, the NSI said.
