According to preliminary estimates of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) released on Monday, the trade between Bulgaria and the EU increased between January and November last year.
In the first eleven months of 2015, Bulgarian exports to the EU amounted to BGN 26.9 B, which represented an increase of 8.3% compared to the same period in the previous year.
The main trading partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France and Belgium, which accounted for 69.3 % of all Bulgarian exports to the EU.
In November alone, Bulgarian exports to the EU exceeded BGN 2.4 B, which represented an increase of 1.3 % compared to the same month.
Between January and November, Bulgarian imports from the EU amounted to BGN 30.4 B, which represented an increased of 5.9 % compared to the same period in 2014.
The greatest volume of goods was imported from Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece and Spain.
In November, Bulgarian imports from the EU amounted to slightly over BNG 3 B, recording an increase of 7.8 % compared to the same month in the previous year.
In the first eleven months of last year, Bulgaria's balance of trade with the EU was negative and exceeded BGN 3.4 B.
The greatest increase in Bulgarian exports to the EU was registered in the exports of chemical substances and products as well as mineral fuels, oils and similar products, while there was a drop in the exports of unprocessed (raw) materials excluding fuels.
The greatest increase in Bulgarian imports from the EU was recorded in soft and alcoholic drinks and tobacco, while the greatest drop was registered in mineral fuels, oils and similar products.
