The UEFA Champions League trophy arrived in Bulgaria on Wednesday, where it it will embark on a tour around the country, visiting three cities in the next ten days.
The trophy will be first on display for two days in Sofia, before heading for the Black Sea coast, where it will be exhibited in Burgas and Varna for two days in each city.
In Sofia, football lovers will be able to admire the trophy at the Knyaz Alexander I square (opposite the building of the National Art Gallery) between 12:30 and 18:00 EET on Thursday and then on Friday, when it will be on display at the Paradise Center mall between 10:00 and 22:00 EET.
In Burgas, the trophy will be displayed at the regional branch of UniCredit Bulbank on Aleksandrovska street between 11:00 and 18:00 on December 14, with Mall Galeria hosting it on the following day between 10:00 and 22:00.
Finally, the trophy will visit Varna, where it will be exhibited in Grand Mall between 10:00 and 16:00 on December 17 and between 10:00 and 18:00 on the following day.
The tour started in the Czech Republic, with the trophy visiting the cities of Prague, Liberec and Plzen before it continued to Slovakia's Trnava.
In Bulgaria, the trophy is accompanied by retired Spanish winger Luis Garcia, who is the official ambassador for the Bulgarian part of the tour.
Football fans in Sofia will be able to meet and request autographs from Garcia, who lifted the trophy with Liverpool in 2005,
The official opening of the tour in Bulgaria will take place at 12:30 EET on the Knyaz Alexander I square.
The trophy is accompanied by a rich collection of football souvenirs, among which the jersey worn by Lionel Messi in this year's Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus as well as the gloves of Iker Kasillas, who has lifted the trophy three times with Real Madrid (2000, 2002 and 2014).
Fans will be also able to see accessories of other football stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, David Beckham and Javier Zanetti.
Among the souvenirs are jerseys, kits, boots, armbands worn by captains and footballs from the final matches.
Football fans will be able to take a picture with the trophy, take a look at the souvenirs and participate in games.
Bulgaria was also part of the trophy's tour in 2013.
