Swiss-Irish food giant ARYZTA AG has acquired bakery chain Fornetti, which has sites in Bulgaria.
The value of the deal was not disclosed.

ARYZTA AG, a global leader in the frozen bakery segment, currently has operations and factories on four continents.
The shares of the company are traded at the stock exchanges in Zurich and Ireland.

Hungarian bakery chain Fornetti has 800 employees in Hungary and 500 employees in Romania and Bulgaria. The company posted revenues of EUR 64.6 M in 2014.

The new CEO of Arytza Fornetti Holding, Sebastian Gooding, said that Fornetti would receive investment of around EUR 1 M over the next 6 months and the number of employees would increase substantially, according to reports of Romania’s Mediafax.
