Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev will pay a one-day working visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina on July 3.

Plevneliev is to meet with Mladen Ivanic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and to take part in an international conference titled “Regional Economic Development and Cooperation,” according to a media statement of the President’s Office.

The conference will bring together 200 leading managers from Southeastern Europe.

During the conference Plevneliev will receive the European Personality of the Year in Southeast and Central Europe award for 2015.

Bulgaria’s head of state receives the award for his contribution to the stabilization and improvement of relations between European countries, most notably neighboring countries on the Balkans.

Previous award holders include Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski, Filip Vujanovic, President of Montenegro, and former Croatian President Ivo Josipovic.
