This year's edition of the international design festival One Design Week to be held in Plovdiv between June 19-28, will begin with the Being Post-Digital exhibition.
The event will be held at the Town Gallery of the Arts and at the building of the Union of Plovdiv Artists.
The curator and researcher in the field of digital art Renee Beekman has selected a variety of art productions from 20 authors coming from 8 different countries.
The terms ''digital'' and ''digitized'' are no longer just an instrument to achieve a certain effect, but a practice that has a certain point of view, explained the organizers of the event.
Kalin Terziev will be showcasing an art installation with working title Moon paradise in which he will be exploring the feeling of reality. Belgian artist Frederik de Wilde, who is known for his works combining art and science, will present two of his sculptures, created through data obtained through quantum calculations, made in an Australian laboratory.
Additionally, the Plovdiv galleries will be hosting this year's meetings on robotics - Dark bot Sofia, where several artists will show their works and exchange further ideas.
