Bulgaria: 3 Greek Nationals, 2 Bulgarians Arrested in Baby Trafficking Scheme

Five people, including three Greek nationals and two Bulgarians, have been arrested for baby trafficking in the northern town of Kozani

The arrests were made on suspicions that a 23-year-old Bulgarian, who had been admitted to hospital to give birth, was planning to sell the baby to a Greek couple.

The Greek couple has been arrested, as well as the 56-year-old mother of the man, and a 31-year-old Bulgarian man, believed to have prepared the deal for the illegal adoption, according to reports of the Kathimerini newspaper.
