Bulgaria's Foreign Ministry has set up a working group to draft legislation criminalising the participation of Bulgarian citizens in the Islamic State (IS) terrorist organisation.
According to the Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov, the group will be ready with the first draft in beginning of December and the law will be ready for dicsussion in Parliament in January.
Mitov told bTV that the law will allow the state to criminally prosecute persons who are connected to IS.
Mitov added that the new law is complying with international law and added that the IS were a “bunch of butchers” who have nothing to do with Islam and in order avoid their promotion, they must be called by their abbreviation.
