New Russian Missile Attacks in Ukraine
Ukraine finds itself once again under fire from Russian missiles, marking a new wave of violence in the region
The leaders of the five pro-Western parties in the Ukrainian Parliament have signed a coalition agreement.
The new coalition formed after the October 26 elections unites 300 out of 450 members of parliament, making it possible to pass amendments to the constitution.
The main priorities declared in the coalition agreement include European integration of the country, Ukraine's accession to NATO, ensuring Ukranian defence capacities, recovery of economic growth.
The coalition is made of President Petro Poroshenko's Bloc, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk's People Front, Yulia Tymoshenko's Fatherland, Self Reliance and the Radical Party.
Before signing the agreement Prime Minister Yatsenyuk discussed the formation of the ruling coalition with US Vice President Joe Biden, who is on a visit to Kiev.
Biden expressed the opinion that it was in the interest of the whole world to see Ukraine finalising the process, appointing all ministers and getting down to business.
The signing of the coalition agreement comes as Ukraine marks the first anniversary of the start of the Euromaidan protests in Kiev, that led to the overthrow of President Viktor Yanukovych and the ongoing conflict between government forces and pro-Russian separatists in the east of the country.
