Inside Bulgaria's Easter Celebrations: Traditions Passed Through Generations
Today marks the joyous celebration of Easter, one of the most significant holidays in the Orthodox Christian calendar.
Bulgaria's early elections this Sunday will most likely send six parties in Parliament, shows a public opinion poll, published by the Alpha Research agency on its website.
It surveyed 1100 adult Bulgarian citizens in the period September 28-30.
According to the results, the centrist GERB might have between 98 and 100 seats with 34.1% of the votes, followed by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) with 53-55 seats and 19.1%, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) – 15.4% of the votes and 44-46 seats, the Reformist Bloc and Bulgaria Without Censorship – 16-18 seats and 6% of the votes each. The most likely sixth party would be the nationalist coalition Patriotic Front, which could get 12 seats and 4.2%.
The Alpha Research analysis, however, does not exclude the possibility of another two parties – ABV and Ataka passing the four-percent threshold.
According to the survey, the voter turnout would be lower than during the previous parliamentary elections in 2013.
