[Presenter] Deputy Prime Minister Mesut Yilmaz met Bulgarian Prime Minister Simeon Saxe-Coburg and Ahmet Dogan, leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms [DPS], most of whose members are Turks. In a statement on the meeting, Yilmaz said that his friendship with Dogan is a long one. Yilmaz added that he congratulated Dogan on the great success achieved by DPS in the recent elections.
[Yilmaz] I congratulated him on the great success the DPS achieved in the recent elections. They have two ministers in the cabinet and many deputy ministers and governors are from the DPS. This shows that the DPS has become an important factor in the country's democracy. I am confident that they will make many extremely positive contributions to Bulgaria's domestic stability as well as to Turkish-Bulgarian relations.
[Presenter] Yilmaz also met the Bulgarian prime minister. In a statement prior to the meeting, Yilmaz said that at the meeting he would note the great strides taken in bilateral relations in recent years and raise the various problems that need to be solved.
