Bulgaria's Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski has ordered a checkup into the state of shopping center and mall buildings.
"The inquiry will be into the construction projects, the documentation for commissioning, as well as the current state of the buildings", revealed Investment Projects Minister Ivan Danov, cited by Focus.
The checkups will take approximately a week, and their goal is to minimize the risk of incidents, such as the tragic collapse of a roof in a Riga supermarket, which killed over 50 people.
Besides the construction, experts will also examine the emergency and safety mechanisms of large shopping centers, such as fire exits and evacuation schemes.
