Unsettled striker Valeri Bojinov “saved a man’s life” in a shopping mall in Sofia, according to media reports.

Bojinov, 27, was shopping in Sofia’s Vitosha Park mall, when a man appeared to suffer a fit.
The former Bulgaria international performed first aid on the man, who was reportedly choking on his own tongue.

The man regained conscience after Bojinov pulled his tongue out, according to Livesport.bg.

Bojinov has played for the likes of Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City, but his career went downhill over the past few years. He is currently without a club after being released by Sporting Lisbon this summer.
