The Thessaloniki District Court sentenced four members of the extreme nationalist Golden Dawn party to 6-10 months of prison for the illegal possession of weapons.

The group was arrested on Saturday near the local party headquarters, reports the daily Kathimerini. Police raided offices of Golden Dawn in connection with the murder of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas on September 17.

Among the convicted is an ex-chauffeur of the party leader as well as one body guard of a Golden Dawn MP.

The Prosecution is currently reviewing a request by the Minister of Public Order and Citizen Protection for the recognition of Golden Dawn as a criminal group and its outlawing.
