Aston Villa are reportedly eager to snap up Lech Poznan’s sought-after Bulgarian winger Aleksandar Tonev.
Aston Villa have made a GBP 3.5 M bid for the promising winger, according to the Daily Mail.
Manager Paul Lambert made his move with Celtic and German side Werder Bremen also in negotiations for the Bulgaria international.
Tonev comes highly recommended by Stiliyan Petrov but is leaning towards a move to the Bundesliga, the Daily Mail reports.
It had been reported that Celtic had tabled a GBP 2 M offer for the 23-year-old but that has been denied by senior Parkhead officials.
