The former President of the European Parliament, and former Prime Minister of Poland, Jerzy Buzek, has congratulated GERB leader and ex Bulgarian PM, Boyko Borisov, with the May 12 general elections victory.
The two have spoken on the phone Saturday morning.
"As a person with extensive experience in politics in post-communist Eastern Europe, I am aware of the complex situation in Bulgaria after the vote," Buzek has said.
He has thanked Borisov for the great partnership in the European People's Party, EPP, in the EP, and has congratulated him for the achievements of his Citizens for European Development of Bulgaria party, GERB.
"GERB will remain faithful to its voters and to EU and NATO values," Borisov has stressed.
The two have discussed GERB's strategy after the elections and the economic situation in Europe.
