Some 216 signals for violations have been registered by the Transparency without Borders association during Sunday's snap general elections of Bulgaria.

5% of them have to do with vote buying attempts and another 23% - with controlled voting, says the organization.

The largest part, 57%, relate to irregularities in voting procedures, while 15% are regarding campaigning prohibited during the election day.

Polling stations in Bulgaria are set to close at 8 pm EET, when the first exit poll results are to be made available.
