Weather Forecast in Bulgaria: Continued Rain and Cool Temperatures Until End of May
According to Assistant Professor Anastasia Stoycheva, PhD, the Director of the Department "Forecasts" at the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology
The mercury will climb to 30C Friday and several temperature records are expected once again.
The forecast is issued by the National Institute for Meteorology and Hydrology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, BAS.
Fourteen temperature records were set Thursday, mostly in southern and southwestern Bulgaria, where 29.2C were measured in the resort town of Sandanski.
In the capital Sofia, temperatures will reach 26C. They will be between 17C and 22C on the Black Sea coast.
It will be sunny all across Bulgaria, including in the mountains. No precipitations are expected.
