Shooting broke out Wednesday morning in the Todor Kableshkov Sports School in the southern Bulgarian city of Stara Zagora.
According to unconfirmed reports, no children were injured but the 56-year-old carpenter working at the school was killed.
The shooting broke out between 8 am and 9 am on Wednesday.
The site is currently being examined by police.
Local police and the director of the school have refused to comment on the accident.
The reason for the shooting remains unknown at the current stage, as well as the perpetrator of the offence.
