Bulgaria's best tennis player Magdalena Maleeva climbed no fewer than eight places up the WAT and currently is seeded fifteen. The success comes in the wake of Magi's sensational performance in Moscow. She won the Kremlin cup after defeating second seed Lindsay Davenport in thriller match. She defeated Davenport 5-7 6-3 7-6 in the Kremlin Cup women's final on Sunday for her first title of the year. This is Maleeva's third Kremlin Cup title following her success back in 1994 and 1995. The Bulgarian tennis player turned into the tournament's sensation after her victory over top seed Venus Williams (2-6 6-1 7-6) in Moscow 2nd round, Nathalie Dechy, France, 6-4, 6-2. Last week Magi, 27-year-old, ranked 23, and currently she holds a total of 1615,00 points. The list is predictably topped by Serana and Venus Williams.
