Quest for Peace: Hamas Contemplates Truce Amid Ceasefire Talks
Efforts persist to broker a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, with the latter considering a proposed 40-day truce from Israel.
Israel's air force dropped leaflets across Gaza City on Tuesday urging people to evacuate their homes "immediately".
"For your own safety, you are required to immediately evacuate your homes and move toward Gaza City centre," the Arabic-language leaflet said, according to agencies.
The leaflets also specified certain roads that should be used.
According to Arutz Sheva, Hamas has called on Gaza civilians to ignore the pamphlets.
Earlier on Tuesday, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi said a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel was imminent.
Militant rockets were launched into Israel on Tuesday night with no casualties reported.
