Bulgarian PM Boyko Borisov is the politician most frequently mentioned by Bulgarian print media, according to a media survey covering Jan-Oct 2012.

Borisov is also second in terms of positive-to-negative media mentions, behind only President Rosen Plevneliev, who however has been written about much less.

According to the Media Democracy Foundation, which conducted the survey, the media rating ratio for the PM has been 2.3, meaning that positive mentions are 2.3 times more than negative ones.

Borisov's two deputy-PMs, Minister of Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov and FinMin Simeon Djankov have negative ratings, -1.2, as does main opposition party leader, PES and Bulgarian Socialist Party chair Sergey Stanishev, -1.8.

Stanishev is third in the ranking for most mentions, behind Borisov and Tsvetanov, and followed by Djankov and Plevneliev.

Media analysts have also noted a positive trend in the socialist leader's media rating.

On the other hand, former Bulgarian President and Socialist Party chair Georgi Parvanov has almost fallen out of the printed media focus, says the report.

Former EU Commissioner Meglena Kuneva, who recently founded the Bulgaria for Citizens party, has an upward trend in media reports about her.

Among the seven printed media surveyed, the Sega daily has been most negative regarding PM Borisov, while the wide-circulation Telegraf daily has been the most positive.
