The British online publication The Independent has released its ranking of the ten most attractive and affordable destinations in Europe for short city breaks in 2026.

Fulham's new Bulgarian forward Dimitar Berbatov will miss the club's visit of Manchester City on Saturday because of injury, the manager announced.
The Bulgarian hitman has been in impressive form for the Londoners since joining from Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old Bulgarian scored two goals and made one assist in his first two full games at Fulham and was heaped with praise for his performance.
His absence against Manchester City this weekend is expected to be a massive blow for the manager Jol, who could hand Mladen Petric a start.
