Five people have been killed in a horrific traffic accident near the village of Garvan, Sitovo Municipality, along the major route linking the cities of Ruse – Silistra on the Danube river.
Three men and two women were traveling in a Renault towards the town of Silistra.
Early evidence suggests the driver of the car wanted to overtake the one ahead of him and bumped headlong into a Skoda truck.
The five persons in the car died on the spot.
The bodies of the victims have not been identified yet.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
