Bulgarian Radoslav Velikov has failed to win a medal in the free-style wrestling tournament of the London Olympics.

Velikov had a shot at the bronze medal in the 55 kg category of the London 2012 wrestling tournament after scoring several wins in the repechages.

However, Velikov, who is a bronze medalist from the 2008 Beijing Olympics, now lost the bronze medal match to Shinichi Yumoto from Japan.

Yumoto beat Bulgaria's Radoslav Marinov Velikov in two rounds even though both scored two points each.

Wrestling rules stipulate that the athlete to score last in each round takes it.

After Velikov's failure to grab a medal, Bulgaria remains with only two medals from the LondonOlympics – Stanka Zlateva's silver in women's wrestling, and Tervel Pulev's bronze in boxing.
