An Airbus A310 jet airliner carrying out a flight from Moscow to Bulgaria's Black Sea city of Burgas made an emergency landing at Domodedovo on Monday, local media say.

The plane took off at 05:42 am Moscow time on Monday, RIA Novosti says. However, the pilot noticed a landing gear problem and decided to land it.

The plane circled around Moscow to use up fuel before landing back at Domodedovo. There were no injuries.

The flight was probably carried out by S7 Airlines, Bulgarian news website dnevnik.bg says. The company is believed to be Russia's fastest-growing airline.

The passengers, mainly Russian tourists, were later transported to Burgas.

Flight S7 943 departed from Domodedovo airport at 10:42 am on Monday and arrived at the Burgas airport at 12:51. It was initially scheduled to take off at 05:30.
