A lightning bolt has stricken two women in a downtown park in the southern Bulgarian city of Kardzhali.
The incident occurred at about 3 pm local time on Tuesday, the Bulgarian National Radio reported.
The stricken bodies of the two women were found under a large tree where they apparently sought shelter from the rain and thunder storm.
They have been taken to the emergency room, with doctors still being unable to say whether they will survive.
