A Bulgarian ship detained in Romania will be released next Monday, Bulgarian Agriculture Minister Miroslav Naydenov has announced.

The ship was detained in April 2011, when its crew was accused of poaching.

On Friday, Naydenov met with European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Maria Damanaki. The two discussed Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey's Black Sea issues.

EU will aim at achieving stable fishing during the 2014-2020 program period, Damanaki said, as cited by dariknews.bg. She pointed out that excessive fishing and illegal fishing are the key issues that have to be tackled.
