Rumen Trifonov, Todor Yanchev and Kostadin Stoyanov, the three CSKA Sofia football players who tested positive for banned stimulants, have been banned for just three months, the Bulgarian Olympic Committee has announced.

The players' minimum bans will expire on March 23, which means that they will miss CSKA's A league games against Lokomotiv Sofia, Kaliakra, Montana and Chernomorets Burgas, with only the last one of these considered to be among the stronger A league sides.

Trifonov, Yanchev and Stoyanov tested positive for methylhexanamine after the domestic league clash against archrivals Levski Sofia which their team won 1-0 on October 28 2011.

CSKA Sofia has already fired the team doctor, accusing him of prescribing the banned stimulant to the players without consulting with the club.

CSKA are currently joint leaders of Bulgaria's A league, together with Ludogorets Razgrad.
