Bulgaria: Bulgarian State Revenue Go Green, Save Paper

Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency has saved some 2.2 M sheets of paper over the course of the past two years, announced the state revenue Sunday.

The Revenue Agency has impemented a complex green policy, under the moto "Every Sheet of Paper is a Gulp of Air - Don't Throw it Away!"

Internal communication is virtually entirelly transferred to an internal digital system, with almost no paperwork produced.

Many of the Revenue Agency's decisions directed at companies and private individuals are also issued electronically.

In addition, printers at the Agency's units are set to print on both sides of the paper sheet.

The National Revenue Agency also reports implementing a thorough recycling program, that this far has gathered almost 3 tonnes of paper.

Further measures are being considered to minimize the environmental impact of the state agency.
