The Regional Prosecutor's Office in the Bulgaria's town of Asenovgrad has launched pre-trial proceedings and a probe against notorious Bulgarian Roma boss Kiril Rashkov AKA Tsar Kiro on hooliganism grounds.
The news was reporter Friday by Darik radio, citing Asenovgrad Prosecutor, Kaloyan Dimitrov. His office had seized all media footage, showing how when entering the Courtroom, Tsar Kiro is cursing Katunitsa residents and how he is flipping his middle finger when leaving.
It also emerged during the trail against Rashkov that main witnesses in the case have been threatened by phone calls warning about dangers for their families. The witnesses say they have notified the police, but the latter declined to offer an official confirmation.
The Asenovgrad Regional Court postponed the case Thursday for December 22. Tsar Kiro is appealing his arrest. The magistrate asked for the appointment of a 3-member panel of medical experts to establish Rashkov's health condition since the latter is the grounds of the defense to appeal the permanent detention.
Rashkov is accused of threatening to kill one of his fellow villagers, Veselin Hristev, on September 23 2011, in the village of Katunitsa near Bulgaria's second largest city of Plovdiv.
