Sofia police are investigating the deaths of two teens inside a parking garage. File photo
The bodies of two teenagers, girl and boy, were discovered at 11 am Sunday in a parking garage in the Orlandovtsi district of Bulgaria's capital Sofia.
Marinela, 17, and Iliyan, 15, were found dead inside a car by the girl's father. According to initial police information, they are cousins.
Police report they have rejected two of the initial versions that this could have been homicide and/or suicide and are now working on only one lead – the teens have suffocated by accident.
It remains unclear what they have been doing in the garage overnight or since wee hours Sunday.
Medical teams are reported on the scene. Police have sealed the area and continue their investigation.
The family has declined any comments.
