The Bulgarian Red Cross began Tuesday the distribution of food from the EU intervention reserves.
Over 250 000 Bulgarians have the right to receive these food items, including the elderly who were provided with the so-called "energy assistance" last winter and mothers with monthly assistance for children under the age of one or those taking care of a disabled child.
The Deputy Head of the Bulgarian Red Cross informs the 7 metric tons of food items to be given away include flour, starch, waffles, and rice stuffed grape leaves (dolma).
This is the third distribution tranche – those who missed the first and the second one can get everything now.
