"As I see, there are men among you, with whom we extinguished fires at the time. Everyone knows how difficult and dangerous this job is. But, one the other hand side, you don't even realize how pleased I am when the Prime Minister of Russia tells me that what Bulgarian firefighters have done will be remembered by all Russian people; or when the PM of Israel says that Israeli people have always loved Bulgaria, but now love it even more because of the courage and the good deeds of Bulgarian firefighters. So your glory, your fame is not only in Bulgaria, but in many other countries; it already spread across the globe."

Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, whose former career is also in fire rescue, congratulating Wednesday firefighters for their National Holiday and the Holiday of Civil Defense Employees. Borisov also laid a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier as part of the ceremony.
