The Chief Architect of Bulgaria's Black Sea town of Kavarna, Yuliyan Iliev, and the Director of the Municipal Properties Company, Desislav Kostov, have submitted their resignations.
The resignations have been already accepted by the Mayor of Kavarna, Tsonko Tsonev.
The two, along with the employee of the Registry Agency, Deyan Dechkov, were arrested Saturday on suspicions the group took part in a large number of property scams related to the acquisition of attractive waterfront municipal properties for prices below the market ones.
