Residents and visitors in Sofia will be able to park without payment in the city’s “blue” and “green” zones during the upcoming Easter holidays

Bulgarian capital Sofia closed down popular downtown Shishman Street for car traffic, leaving it open for pedestrians starting Saturday on through August 31.
The move is part of the renewed "Sofia Breathes" campaign and will feature a plethora of events to be held on Shishman Str.
All intersections of the street between the Narodno Sabranie Sq. and Graf Ignatiev Str. will be closed down too, except for cars of people living in the area.
Sunday the events will be of an athletic nature, with popular basketball and volleyball teams organizing games, and including 8 other types of sports.
Each Sunday before the end of August, different thematic events will be held.
