Both men and women in Bulgaria have shown an increased interest in historical fiction over the last couple of years.
Vancheva has also described the increased interest on behalf of many Bulgarian readers to contemporary prose as a positive trend.
However, poetry is still not the Bulgarians' cup of tea.
