Garra Dembele, Bulgarian Levski Sofia's prolific French-Malian forward, will most certainly move to a Bundesliga club during the upcoming summer transfer window.
This was announced "with 99% certainty" by the club's new manager, Georgi Ivanov (aka "Gonzo"), according to the Dnevnik daily.
"We expect to close the deal within days. Just some small details are left to negotiate," Ivanov revealed Monday, refusing to name the German club bidding for the striker.
Recent reports have linked the 24-year old Dembele with Werder Bremen and Freiburg. The forward was expected to leave during the winter transfer window, when Levski's owner, Todor Batkov, announced he was heading for a big European team in exchange for about EUR 3.5 M.
English Premiership clubs Blackburn Rovers, West Ham and Everton were also reportedly interested in buying Dembele.
Garra Dembele has been in top form this season, scoring the remarkable 30 goals in 27 games in all competitions, including the prestigious Europa League.
In December, the striker was arrested in Sofia for drunk driving and had to make an extended apology to the public and his team.
