Media and Money is the motto of the seventh global meeting of Bulgarian media opening Thursday in the administrative capital of the Netherlands – the Hague.

The forum coincides with a working visit of Bulgarian Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, to the country.

The event is held in one of the most impressive medieval cathedrals - Grote Kerk - Great Church, built in the 15th century, where Bulgarian journalists from all over the world will gather.

Borisov will open the forum with a keynote address, and will later meet with Bulgarian students in the Netherlands.

Bulgarian Ministers for the Management of EU Funds, Tomislav Donchev, and for Foreign Affairs, Nikolay Mladenov, publishers, editors-in-chief, experts are also taking part in the meeting, focusing on ways media can survive in times of crisis.

The event is held on the initiative of the Bulgarian news agency, BTA, and the Association of Bulgarian Media Abroad. Over 40 print and electronic editions, radio and TV stations from 25 countries will participate.

Bulgarian Eurovision finalist, Elitsa Todorova, will perform her latest hit during the opening ceremony. The song is dedicated to global peace.
