Bulgaria's new biggest sports arena, Arena Sofia, will be opened with a friendly game between the volleyball teams of Bulgaria and Serbia on July 30.

The president of the Serbian Volleyball Federation Alexander Boricic has accepted the invitation by his Bulgarian counterpart Dancho Lazarov, it was revealed Tuesday.

The new Arena Sofia, located in the area near the Pliska Hotel east of the city center, is in its final stages of completion.

The construction of the 12,000+ capacity facility has been won by major Bulgarian construction company Blavbolgarstroy.

It will be the largest and most up-to-day indoor sports facility in the country, and will feature several smaller venues and training locations.

Arena Sofia will also be designed to host music concerts.
