There have not been any major incidents in Bulgaria's capital Sofia during the night, despite the huge crowds gathering at churches for Easter Mass.
The information was reported Sunday by the Head of Sofia's Directorate of the Interior (SDVR), Valeri Yordanov.
The number of police patrols has not been upped during the night, but there has been increased police presence and control near churches over the danger of fires from the lit candles and of theft.
Yordanov says the most frequent incidents during such gatherings also include abuse of alcohol leading to arguments and fights, none of which happened in Sofia overnight.
