Wizz Air serves the flights from Sofia to Venice twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. File photo
The planes of low-cost carrier Wizz Air, flying from Sofia to Venice, will temporarily operate from/to Marco Polo International Airport near the city, the company announced.
The flights will be diverted in the period from June 1 to September 30, 2011 when Venice Treviso Airport will be closed due to runway works.
Venice Marco Polo International Airport is located 30 km southeast from Treviso airport.
Passengers holding reservation to/from Venice Treviso (TSF) airport within the above mentioned period will receive an email about further details, the company said.
For new reservations to Venice in this period passengers should start booking selecting "Venice Marco Polo (VCE)" or "Venice all airports (VEL)" option.
Wizz Air serves the flights from Sofia to Venice twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Ticket prices to Venice start from EUR 24.99 for a return ticket, including taxes.
