Bulgaria's police will take measures to limit wild partying going on in the Student City in Sofia, stated Minister of Interior Tsvetan Tsvetanov Friday.

Speaking in Parliament during question time, he confessed he is worried that students tend to stay up and feas all night and then miss their morning lectures.

The Student City in Sofia is home to the campuses of a couple of universities, as well as housing facilities of others - but is also an area with an extremely high concentration of restaurants, pubs, nightclubs and discos, some of them of questionable repute.

"This place has to be a place suited for students, who are Bulgaria's future," stated Tsvetanov Friday.

He did not specify whether police will be getting young people out of pubs and discos. Nevertheless he vowed to tighten up police control over such facility, as well as to ensure the general safety of the neighborhood.
