The effect of the advertising campaign for tourism in Bulgaria, which targets the country's nationals, will be evaluated in June, according to the Deputy Minister on Economy, Energy and Tourism, Ivo Marinov.
He explained Tuesday that at present the Economy Ministry is working on several projects under the campaign "Find Bulgaria" which aim to popularize tourism in Bulgaria among local citizens.
One of them is an online calendar, which lists interesting tourist sites and events. Its web address is http://www.potarsi.bulgariatravel.org/.
Another project, which is to be started soon, will nominate the 50 least popular tourist attractions in the country.
"All projects have a cumulative effect and the results of the campaign will be evaluated together, after all projects are completed," Marinov said.
He has added that in his opinion, the campaign "Find Bulgaria" is very well accepted by Bulgarians.
The advertising of local tourism to Bulgarians is financed under the EU Operational Program "Regional Development" and costs BGN 2.1 M.
It includes videos for national TV stations, radio advertising, publications in print and online media, organizing of conferences and journalistic tours and exhibitions across the country.
According to the project, the advertising should reach two million TV viewers, two million radio listeners, 200 000 people through the press and two million Internet consumers.
